Stanislas Germain is a lute player, singer, luthier and gut strings maker.
He explores the dark side of early music, the oral tradition that appears only among the lines of written history. He does workshops and concerts. Besides this he devotes part of his time to his work as a luthier and gut strings maker with the purpose to make music available to all publics.
He is inspired by the troubadours and jongleurs, and by the singing lute players of the Renaissance. His way of playing and singing is also influenced by the ancient’s fiddlers and singers of Quebec, his birth homeland.
